A sweet and creamy challenge. We traveled to Italy of the 60s. Siviero Maria is a brand that belongs to a well-known Italian group, G7 Group. It produces a type of ice cream, known as gelato. That was one of the biggest challenges for us, being a film which involved more that 12 actors and filming in two locations.

How to get to Italy of 1958?

By a refrigerator. Every time you open the refrigerator with authentic Italian gelato, Siviero Maria, it is like a time-travel. This is the film story.

The outdoor shootings were made in Timisoara. There we built the scenery of one of the pedestrian streets of downtown. As we mentioned, this was a huge challenge, with over 25 people on set. We remember a funny moment when the passers-by came to “Trattoria Giuseppe” which was actually a fictional trattoria, thinking that a new local was open in the city.

The decor was a Mediterranean one, consisting of plants, trees, greenness (especially ivy), a 60s style terrace with tables and chairs, and even a wooden door that was fixed on a wall.

The decor also included other elements: a gelato tricycle, Vespa scooter from 1960 and other fixed or movable elements.

The actors were both children and adults. From nine to seventy years old.

A memorable day, from 6 am to 11 pm and a few weeks when we made the post-production. The evening ended with gelato, also the public authorities were amazed both by the actions on the set and the gelato tubs.

Media entries

The film was one of the most active and viral commercials. There were over 300 of shares only in two days on the company website. Now the film runs an online campaign, the views increasing daily.
